Vegetable & Fruits Intakes

As mentioned in some of my earlier posts, vegetable & fruit intakes are very important in nourishing our immune system with the necessary disease-fighting nutrients such as polysaccharides, phytochemicals & antioxidants etc.

Have you wonder how to take different varieties of vegetables/fruits in our meals? I always make it a point to have lots of vegetable in my meal but it is so hard to get them when you had your meal outside (not mentioning the cost).

How can we consume so much vegetables that is require in our daily meal? I started taking Vegecolor - it is a product that has 28 types of vegetables in it & in one sachet, there are more than 2 kgs of such vegetables in it. Hence it becomes convenient to consume vegetables anywhere. Why I say it is convenient? I have been preparing vegetables at home before going out to work & it takes up about 20 mins in preparing, washing, steaming etc to get the vegetables properly cook for consumption which is unnecessary if you take Vegecolor. As mentioned Vegecolor has 28 types of vegetables, how can we prepared our meals with 28 types of vegetables that weighs more than 2 kgs. I doubt anyone can do it as firstly, the climate of our country does not allow us to keep the vegetables fresh for so long (usually within 3 days), next is that can we really eat finish more than 2 kgs of vegetables. Even if both are not your concern, the cost of vegetables are not cheap (not to mention 28 of them) but this Vegecolor that I'm consuming only cost $51 before GST for 30 sachets which means each sachet costs $1.70. This is the baby step to nourish our immune system.
